Who handles your data
FreeToolbox24 is a free tool website run by a small independent team. For any privacy question or to exercise a right, email [email protected], the shared mailbox of our tool websites. Services you open through an external link have their own policies.
What you type into the tools
The calculators and unit converters run in your browser. The numbers you type are not sent to us. No account is needed and we never ask for your name or email to use a tool.
Hosting and delivery
The website is hosted by o2switch in France and delivered through Cloudflare. Like any website, each request discloses your IP address, browser headers, the requested page and the time to these providers. They may keep short technical logs for security and fault diagnosis under their own terms.
Google Analytics
Our pages load Google Analytics 4, a measurement service from Google, to count visits and see which pages and tools are used. Google Analytics receives the page address, the referring page, browser and device type, an approximate location derived from your IP address, and the pages viewed and clicks made during a visit. It sets first-party cookies named _ga and _ga_ followed by an identifier; they last up to two years and let it recognise a returning browser. It does not receive what you type into the tools or the files you open in them. Google processes this data as our service provider and may process it in the United States under its own transfer safeguards; Google states that Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. We keep event-level Analytics data for no more than 14 months. The Analytics property is not linked to Google Ads, and we do not use it to show advertising. You can block it with your browser’s cookie settings, a content blocker or the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on; every tool keeps working. See the Cookie Policy for details.
Google Fonts
Pages load the Inter typeface from Google Fonts. Your browser then sends a request, including your IP address, to Google. This is separate from Google Analytics and sets no cookie.
Legal basis
Swiss data protection law applies, and the GDPR where it covers you. Delivering pages and running the network tools rely on providing the service you ask for. Security logs, abuse limits and audience measurement rely on our legitimate interest in keeping the website safe and knowing which tools to improve; you can object by blocking Analytics as described above.
Your rights
Depending on the applicable law, you may ask for access, correction or deletion of personal data, object to processing, or ask about a transfer. Email [email protected] and describe the data concerned. Analytics data is held by Google under a random identifier, so we may need that identifier from your _ga cookie to find it. You may complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner or to your EU supervisory authority.
